Tuition & Fees
Scholarship students if you qualify, some scholarships are automatically awarded when you are offered admission to the National Graduate Institute of Policy Studies. If so, the Scholarship covers the tuition fee and living expenses for one year. The application, admission and tuition fees will be paid directly to GRIPS and scholars will receive a monthly stipends and, in some cases, allowances for arrival, books/equipment, and study trips. Non-scholarship students
The following information is for applicants who are not eligible, or do not want to apply for one of the scholarships administered by GRIPS.
Applicants are required to pay application fee of 30,000 yen by bank transfer and enclose a copy of the remittance receipt with their other application documents. These non-refundable application fee covers all administrative work involved in processing the application. Please note that applications will not be processed if the payment of the application fee have not been settled. For further information regarding the method of payment, please contact the Admissions Office.
Accepted candidates are to remit 282,000 yen admission fee in order to be officially enrolled. Please note that these fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.
The payment of tuition fee may be made in two installments. The first installment is due on 31 October, the second installment on 30 April.
Further details regarding the method of the payment of admission and tuition fee will be sent to accepted candidates. Should you have any queries please contact the Admissions Office.
