(1) COURSES TAUGHT
Public Economics, Spring 2005, GRIPS.
Applied Econometrics, Spring 2005, GRIPS Ph.D. Course
This course provides students with additional experience in working with economic data and using econometric models. The three objectives are to (1) develop standard econometrics projects using Stata software, (2) work extensively with microeconomic data using Stata, and (3) develop programming skills with Stata and Matlab to work with time series data and policy simulations.
Monetary Economics (Money and Banking), Fall 2005, GRIPS.
Modeling Pension Systems, Fall 2005, GRIPS Ph.D. Course
This course teaches students how to use Matlab (and Stata when needed) well enough to be able to write programs to develop their dissertations. We will focus specifically on how to develop models for pension programs. In particular, we will focus on simulating defined-contribution pension programs using historical data and stochastic forecasts.
Introduction to Applied Econometrics, Winter 2006. GRIPS.
