Measures to Prevent Unethical Conduct Related to Public Research Funds at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies

The measures to prevent unethical conduct related to public research funds at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies are described below.

1. Responsibility Structure within the Institute
  1. The University President, as the chief manager, holds ultimate responsibility regarding the management of research funds and the prevention of unethical conduct in research activities.
  2. The Director-General of the Administration Bureau, as the chief administrative officer, provides assistance to the chief manager.
2. Regulations Concerning Administration and Management
  1. Code of conduct for the Research Activities at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (pdf: 58kb).
  2. When accusations, reports, or consultations about unethical conduct are brought forward, necessary investigation and disciplinary action will follow according to the due procedures. Please contact the Research Support and Development Division for further details.
