Call for Entries for GRIPS SDGs Award 2019
GRIPS is happy to announce the commencement of the inaugural “GRIPS SDGs Awards” and invites all alumni to participate in the contest.
Background & Objectives
In 2015, 193 countries adopted the framework for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the UN summit in New York, to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. GRIPS’ current policy on education, research and management is strongly linked to the SDGs and inthis light, to promote innovative efforts by alumni towards solving the most pressing environmental, social and economic challenges of our time, we have launched the GRIPS SDGs Awards.
The objective of the Awards is to recognize outstanding efforts by alumni that contribute to the achievement of SDGs as well as to disseminate GRIPS’ educational achievements to the world.
Participating in the Contest
We invite all GRIPS/GSPS alumni to participate in the award contest and share your SDG-related activities and projects. You may submit your own project and/or nominate one or more of your fellow alumni. Entries will be evaluated by a committee comprised of GRIPS executive members and some prominent business leaders, with the final approval given by the GRIPS President.
The winner(s) will be awarded a memorial plaque while as a prominent member of the growing GRIPS SDG community your initiatives and projects will be highlighted on our website and through GRIPS promotional materials. There is even a chance that you will be invited to Japan to get involved and present your work!
