The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) launched “Science of Science, Technology and Innovation policy” program on April 2011. The ultimate goal of the program is to realize “objective evidence-based policy forming”, which tries to make Policy more effective to address policy challenges, based on observations and analysis of social and economic states from various aspects. GRIPS has been adopted as the hub institution of this program.
