Master's Programs (International Programs)
The international programs at GRIPS are conducted solely in English, so that international students can study without having any language of the Japanese language. However, qualified international students can take courses in Japanese. In addition, Japanese language classes are provided for students who wish to study Japanese during their period of study.
For international students, the minimum residential requirement to obtain a Master’s degree is one year, and most students can satisfy all requirements for the degree within that time.
Teaching methods include lecture, seminar, and tutorial. Faculty members also act as advisors, meeting with students regularly throughout the year to supervise their research and assist them with academic matters. Courses are generally assessed by written examinations and term papers.
