GRIPS gave a warm welcome to Prof. Bo Meng, Assistant Dean of SPPM, and Assistant Professor Xing Wei. Professor Meng gave an introductory presentation about SPPM for the 60 participants. Then, Prof. Wei delivered a lecture entitled “China’s Economic Development in the Future.” In his lecture, Prof. Wei presented his analysis of the economic development in China over the past 60 years and gave his economic forecast. In the Q&A session, a student asked what would happen if China’s economic development suddenly faced the “worst case scenario,” instead of the assumed “best case scenario” described in the lecture, and we had a discussion on this issue.

After the session, Prof. Meng and Prof. Wei enjoyed a tour of our campus, guided by three inbound students who have been studying at GRIPS since October, 2012. They are from KDI School (KDIS), the other partner institute in the CAMPUS Asia Program. This event successfully promoted the CAMPUS Asia Program for GRIPS and SPPM.
